NEW DELHI: Delhi Model Virtual School (DMVS) is ready to admit the first batch of students. The school registration process has started and the registration deadline is September 4th. With the unique idea of ​​“Live Anywhere, Learn Anytime, Test Anytime”, students who have passed Class VIII and live anywhere in India can apply for admission.
“Delhi Model Virtual School will provide high quality education in an online setup. Like Delhi government’s specialized excellence schools, this virtual school will not have any subject specialization and the curriculum remains the same,” said Explained BK Sharma, Delhi Government Special Duty Officer, DMVS.The online institution is a specialized excellence school and is affiliated with the Delhi Board of School Education.However, unlike other excellence schools in the category, the virtual school will offer the possibility of choosing the subjects of his preference.
In its first year, the DMVS, the establishment of which was announced during the presentation of Delhi’s budget for 2021-22, will admit students in Class IX. The creation of this school was announced during the 2021 budget. Classes will be online, in all live, recorded and pre-recorded formats. The teachers were recruited separately for this school.
“Classes will take place every day. While live classes will take place in our studio, pre-recorded lectures will be available to all students. This online school will provide a seamless learning experience through live lessons, recorded sessions, assignments and assessments, curated videos, tutorials and personalized mentoring sessions,” said Sharma, who is also the director of Shaheed Hemu Kalani Sarvodaya Bal Vidyalaya, Lajpat Nagar, where the DMVS studio was set up.
In addition to studio classes, the school has a learning management system platform that can be accessed on various devices including phones, tablets, and laptops. The school offers a variety of skill-based course options and competitive preparation support.
In the first batch, the school will welcome 120 to 200 students, depending on the number of applications received. While those who have passed Class VIII from any recognized school in India with a valid ID and proof of residency in India and in the age group 13-18 can apply, the school n will only admit Class IX students this year.
The first stage of admission is an online application, followed by a document check, with the third stage being a proctored exam and online counseling. The proctored online exam is subject to a certain number of applications.
