Berks churches schedule virtual in-person services [Religion Digest]
Jan. 22—-Trinity United Church of Christ, 2449 Cumberland Ave., Mount Penn, will worship in person Sunday at 10:15 a.m. The parochial school for adults will be at 9:00 am. Masks are recommended regardless of vaccination status. The service will also be registered and published on Facebook.
—Schwarzwald United Church of Christ, 75 Church Lane Road, Exeter Township, will worship in person and via Zoom on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. It will also be available on YouTube. Sandra Paton will be the guest organist. For more information, visit www.schwarzwalduc-pa.org.
—Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Barto, will worship Sundays at 9 a.m. Before worship, coffee and conversation will be held at 8:30 a.m. at the Visitor Center and again after worship. The confirmation class will meet in the social room for class at 10 a.m. The adult Bible study class will be held at 10 a.m. in the living room.
—Schwarzwald Lutheran Church, 250 Church Lane Road, Exeter Township, will hold in-person worship at 10:30 a.m. Sunday. Those not vaccinated should wear a mask. The registered service will be available Monday on Facebook.
—Bern Reformed UCC, 3196 Bernville Road, Bern Township, offers live worship on Sundays at 9:30 a.m., or participate from your vehicle using an FM 87.9 transmission.
—Calvary United Church of Christ, 640 Center Ave., Reading, will worship Sunday at 10:30 a.m. on FaceBook Live. The adult forum will be held at 9 a.m. via Zoom. Links can be found at www.calvaryreformeducc.org.
—St. John’s Lutheran Church, 45 N. Reading Ave., Boyertown, will hold worship Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Livestreamed worship continues on YouTube (St. John’s ELC Boyertown). —Christ Episcopal Church, 435 Court Street, Reading, will hold three in-person worship services on Sunday, all including the Holy Eucharist: at 8am there will be a said service (no music); at 9 am, a service for families with young children; and at 10:15 a.m., a service with music. All persons present at these services are invited to wear a mask. Parking is available at the Abraham Lincoln parking lot and the M&T Bank parking lot, both off Washington Street. Parking next to the church on Court Street is available for people with disabilities or who need assistance. On Thursday morning at 11 a.m., a morning prayer group based on the Book of Common Prayer will meet in the church sanctuary. Masks are mandatory.

—St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 5 W. —Maidencreek Church, 261 Main Street, Maidencreek Township, will hold a hybrid worship service Sunday at 9 a.m. There will be selections for piano by Kimberly Ayrton, a clarinet solo by David Wentzel and a kalimba solo by Kimberly Ayrton as well as a congregational hymn. .
